Since 1856, students have discovered their talents, explored their interests, and embraced their creativity at Albright College.

Mission: As a diverse community of learners, we cultivate integrity, curiosity, connection and resilience.

Vision: Albright College endeavors to be an equitable, sustainable, inclusive learning community and a leader in advancing lives in our dynamic world.

The Berks County Action Program (BCAP) is a private non-profit organization that has been serving low-income Berks residents since 1965. BCAP serves more than 2,500 individuals and families each year by providing assistance to help people overcome obstacles while striving to meet their goals.

BCAP’s mission is to combat poverty in the city of Reading and Berks County and to help low- and moderate-income residents become more self-sufficient. As a Community Action Program, BCAP works to reduce poverty by coordinating local, state, private and federal resources to assist low-income individuals and families.

BCPS/Berks Connections is a nonprofit organization that provides pretrial services and reentry programming for individuals involved in the justice system, as well as services for their children and loved ones. Our reentry workforce development, housing, and mentoring programs equip returning citizens with the tools and support necessary to become productive members of our community. Our Family Connections programs serve to lessen the negative impact on children and families affected by parental incarceration.

Additionally, BCPS serves as the court appointed County Pretrial Services agency with services focused on interviewing and assessing defendants’ risk and providing the information to the Court, supervising defendants on pretrial release, and providing staffing and assistance to the county’s diversionary programs.
